Biophysical and technological fluid mixing at the University of Rochester
116 & 112 Hopeman Engineering Building

UPCOMING: Doug will give an invited talk at APS DFD.
CONGRATULATIONS: Fatima won an NDSEG Fellowship, providing three years of PhD support. Logan won the Newton Prize for best undergraduate research in the Hajim School. Nice work, y'all!
PUBLISHED: Our paper Cerebrospinal fluid influx drives acute ischemic tissue swelling has been published in Science with a commentary and featured by URMC Newsroom, University of Copenhagen, and New Atlas.

Despite the ubiquity of fluid mixing—think cream in coffee, plankton in Earth's oceans, storm systems in our atmosphere—mixing is devilishly difficult to predict, control, or understand. We study the space- and time-dynamics of flows and the materials being mixed in them. Read more, watch Doug's overview or contact us.
